Picasso at breakfast- Oil on Canvas

Im drawn to portraits and expressions and choose to make people that inspire me as the subject. I tend to try and push an abstract nature to the portrait or at least make the paintings feel ‘painterly’ rather than realistic. I let myself create the paintings as i go along. Im not sure what the painting will look like until its finished so it sort of paints itself as i go along. This makes the painting more of an exploration rather than executing a piece of art.
